Samuel Afari-Aikins is a Partner at Daintree Advisors, joining the firm in January of 2013. In his role as President, Sam is responsible for day-to-day management and brings his extensive experience and passion for helping clients develop and define their goals and provides objective, comprehensive financial planning, and investment management guidance.
Prior to joining Daintree, Sam worked as the Group Financial Controller of The Works Media Group, a London-based independent film production and distribution company. Prior to The Works Media Group, Sam worked as a Corporate Resource Officer at the United Kingdom Department of Health. Sam began his career as a Sales Representative of Guinness Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of Guinness Brewing Worldwide in Ghana, West Africa, before relocating to England to study.
Sam earned a Master of Science in Taxation with Distinction and a Graduate Certificate of Financial Planning from Bentley University. He earned a B.A. degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of East London in England. Sam is a Chartered Management Accountant (UK), Chartered Global Management Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. Sam has been named a Five Star Wealth Manager as featured in Boston Magazine for 2019 and 2020.
Sam is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council and serves on the Inclusion and Diversity Committee. He lives in Carmel, Indiana with his wife and their three young children. He enjoys reading, coaching soccer, and learning new languages.
