Greg Larson is a Senior Investment Associate at Daintree Advisors. He provides trading and rebalancing support to our advisors and serves as a liaison between Daintree and our Due Diligence and Custodial relationships. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and was awarded the CFA Institute Investment Foundations certificate (2017).

Abrielle Bradley is a Senior Private Multi-Family Office Bookkeeper at Daintree Advisors. She works closely with our Family Office clients, providing payroll, bill pay, bookkeeping, and cash management support. Prior to joining Daintree, Abrielle was a Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist with Central Parking Systems. She earned a degree in Business at Eastern Nazarene College.

Evan Kaplan is a Client Advisor at Daintree Advisors. He works with clients to help them understand, implement, and achieve their financial goals and is a member of the firm’s rebalancing and trading team.

Prior to joining Daintree, Evan worked for an investment management and commercial real estate holding company in Portland, Maine.

Evan attended Colby College where he graduated with honors in history. He holds a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, and is a Level III candidate in the CFA program. Evan is a member of the CFA Society Boston and the CFA Institute.

Evan and his wife Sarah live in Plymouth, New Hampshire. He enjoys traveling, cycling, and sailing off the coast of Maine.

William G. Speciale is a Partner at Daintree Advisors, joining the firm in March of 2012. Bill has been advising high net worth individuals and families for over 25 years. In his role as Senior Client Advisor, Bill provides objective, comprehensive financial planning and investment management to clients.

Prior to joining Daintree, Bill spent six years as a Director of Client Management at Wells Fargo Family Wealth, the family office division of Wells Fargo’s Private Bank (and its predecessor Wachovia). Before Wells Fargo, Bill advised clients at the Financial Planning Group of Babson Capital Management.

Bill earned a B.S. in Finance magna cum laude from Bentley University and went on to obtain his Masters in Taxation at Bentley. Subsequently, Bill earned his Juris Doctorate cum laude from New England Law|Boston. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. In 2012, Bill received the Accredited Estate Planner® designation from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. He was named a Five Star Wealth Manager as featured in Boston Magazine for 2019.

Bill is a member of several professional organizations, including the Boston Estate Planning Council and the Bentley University Executive Club. He also serves as a board member for several charities and volunteers his time participating in town committees.

Mary M. Shahian is a Partner at Daintree Advisors, joining the firm in 2010. She is a member of Daintree’s Divorce Consulting Practice and has extensive experience working with women in transition. With over 20 years of experience in wealth management, Mary provides comprehensive investment and financial planning services with the goal of helping clients preserve and grow their wealth.

Prior to joining Daintree Advisors, Mary spent ten years as a Senior Vice President and Investment Manager at Wells Fargo Private Bank (and its predecessors Wachovia Wealth Management and Tanager Financial Services). Working collaboratively with their attorneys and accountants, Mary had oversight for all aspects of her clients’ financial well-being. Prior to her time with Wells Fargo, Mary was an Investment and Client Relationship Manager at Ronald Blue & Company LLC, an Investment Officer at the Bank of Boston, and a Portfolio Manager at First Chicago Corporation.

Mary earned an M.B.A. with high distinction from the Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and also received an M.Ed in Business Education from Boston University, and a B.S. magna cum laude from Salem State College. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, ChFC designation, and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® certification. Mary lives in Sudbury with her husband David. They are the parents of three adult children and enjoy skiing, tennis, and classical music. She serves on the Board of Directors for Adolescent Consultation Services and is a member of the Finance Committee at Gordon College.

Stephen P. Oliver is a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Daintree Advisors. His primary role is as Senior Client Advisor, providing family office services to some of the firm’s wealthiest families. Steve is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charterholder and serves on Daintree’s Investment Committee. Steve has an extensive background and experience in working with families, listening and helping to discover and understand their goals and how to achieve them.

Steve joined Daintree in October 2010. Steve’s career in financial services has included creating and managing Haemonetics’ Investor Relations during their IPO. With David Beatty, Steve was co-founder of Tanager Financial Services in 1995, which was later sold to Wachovia in 2004. Steve became a Regional Director for Calibre, responsible for the family office practice at Wachovia.

Steve received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina and earned an M.S. in Finance from Boston College and an M.Div. from Fuller Seminary. In addition to the CFA, Steve holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.

Steve is passionate about wine, ever learning more about it and constantly sharing it with friends, tapping into his personal wine cellar in his 200 year old home in Hingham. He was recently inducted into La Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, an international Burgundy wine society. He enjoys golf, exercising, and generally being outdoors. Steve serves on the Board of Advisors for La Vida, an outdoor education and leadership program.

Alexander J. Gross is a Managing Director at Daintree Advisors, joining the firm in December 2011. In his role as a Senior Client Advisor, Alex provides holistic financial planning to clients in the context of their investment management, estate and income tax planning, philanthropy, insurance, and cash flow management.

Prior to joining Daintree Advisors, Alex was an Associate Director of Client Management at Wells Fargo Family Wealth (and its predecessors Wachovia and Tanager Financial Services). Before Wells Fargo, Alex provided financial and tax planning services at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Alex earned a B.A. in Financial Accounting from Bryant University, where he was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Alex subsequently completed a Masters in Taxation and Master Personal Financial Planner Certificate at Bentley University. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a Personal Financial Specialist designation, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. In 2019, Alex received the Accredited Estate Planner® designation from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.

Kent M. Forkner is Chief Investment Officer and a Partner at Daintree Advisors. Kent joined Daintree at its inception in early 2010 and oversees Daintree’s investment advisory process. He sets investment strategy and manages ongoing due diligence and implementation for client portfolios. He also serves as Chief Investment Officer of Veriti Management, an affiliated company of Daintree, providing direct indexing and values-based investing.

Kent’s career spans a broad spectrum of investment research and management on specific industries to global asset allocation of public and private securities. Over his career in both large and smaller money management firms, he has learned the importance of using and understanding the right tools whether it is fundamental, technical, quantitative, tax, or risk analysis. Kent especially enjoys considering with clients which items are at the intersection of greatest control and those that will truly make a difference for them.

Previously, Kent was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at The Boston Company and Director of Research for Mellon Growth Advisors LLC. Prior to that, Kent worked as a Senior Equity Analyst at State Street Global Advisors. Kent began his post-business school investment management career at Alex. Brown where he was an Associate Analyst covering the insurance industry.

Kent received his M.B.A. from the Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and his B.A. from Wheaton College (IL).

Kent and his wife Lisa live in Hingham and have three adult children. Kent provides counsel to several non-profit interests, serving in various volunteer leadership roles at Boston Trinity Academy, Wheaton College (IL), and South Shore Baptist Church in Hingham.

Prior to joining Daintree Advisors, Lauren was a Vice President at Wells Fargo Family Wealth, the family office division of Wells Fargo’s Private Bank (and its predecessors Wachovia and Tanager Financial Services). Lauren also provided financial planning and tax planning services at Tofias, Fleishman Shapiro and KPMG.

Lauren earned an M.B.A. from the John Anderson School of Business at UCLA, a Masters of Science in Taxation and a B.A. degree in Accounting from Bentley University. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, the CPA/PFS (Certified Public Accountant/Personal Financial Specialist) designation, and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® and AEP® (Accredited Estate Planner) designations.

Lauren is a member of the Public/Community Outreach Committee of the Boston Estate Planning Council. Lauren has also served as a financial coach for Budget Buddies, an organization that promotes financial literacy among low income women. Lauren was named a Five Star Wealth Manager as featured in Boston Magazine for 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Lauren has two children and enjoys spending time with her large extended family at the family cottage in New Hampshire. Lauren continues to work on her golf game with the hope of having a handicap that is worthy of discussion.
