Lauren N. Desforge is a Managing Director at Daintree Advisors, joining the firm in 2011. She has been advising high net worth individuals and families for over 25 years. Lauren provides her clients with investment advisory and financial planning services with the goal of helping clients realize their financial goals and achieve peace of mind. Lauren is a member of Daintree’s Divorce Consulting Practice, assisting individuals and couples in transition with the financial aspects of divorce. Lauren has completed MCLC’s Interdisciplinary Collaborative Law Training.
Prior to joining Daintree Advisors, Lauren was a Vice President at Wells Fargo Family Wealth, the family office division of Wells Fargo’s Private Bank (and its predecessors Wachovia and Tanager Financial Services). Lauren also provided financial planning and tax planning services at Tofias, Fleishman Shapiro and KPMG.
Lauren earned an M.B.A. from the John Anderson School of Business at UCLA, a Masters of Science in Taxation and a B.A. degree in Accounting from Bentley University. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, the CPA/PFS (Certified Public Accountant/Personal Financial Specialist) designation, and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® and AEP® (Accredited Estate Planner) designations.
Lauren is a member of the Public/Community Outreach Committee of the Boston Estate Planning Council. Lauren has also served as a financial coach for Budget Buddies, an organization that promotes financial literacy among low income women. Lauren was named a Five Star Wealth Manager as featured in Boston Magazine for 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021.
Lauren has two children and enjoys spending time with her large extended family at the family cottage in New Hampshire. Lauren continues to work on her golf game with the hope of having a handicap that is worthy of discussion.
