In June Daintree employees participated in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Boston’s Back Bay. 365 companies were represented in the local race benefiting The Every Child Fund at Boston Children’s Hospital, which supports research and provides care to families visiting the Boston Children’s Hospital, helping them through difficult times and covering services insurance won’t pay for. Our runners were proud to represent Daintree in this great community event.
JonPaul McBride, Senior Client Services Associate at Daintree Advisors, was chosen to attend the 2018 Center for Financial Planning Diversity Summit. He was one of 300 thought leaders in financial planning who gathered in New York City to discuss building a more diverse financial planning profession, and to address the serious underrepresentation of blacks and Latinos (less than 3.5 percent of all CFP® practitioners) and of women (23% of all CFP® practitioners) in the profession.
This holiday season, Daintree employees helped spread holiday cheer by volunteering with Christmas in the City and The Salvation Army’s Christmas Castle event. Both these wonderful organizations had special Christmas events for Boston area families experiencing the stress of poverty.
Daintree employees enjoyed attending the 36th annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl,® the nation’s largest all-you-can-eat ice cream festival. The Jimmy Fund supports Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for adult and pediatric cancer care and research. This year the Scooper Bowl raised more than $400,000!
This past holiday season, Daintree employees volunteered at the Salvation Army Christmas Castle Program. This annual event provides needy families and individuals with food vouchers for Christmas dinner, warm clothing, and toys for their children. Our employees also donated coats and jackets for both adults and children to this worthy cause.
