Kent M. Forkner is Chief Investment Officer and a Partner at Daintree Advisors. Kent oversees Daintree’s investment advisory process. He sets investment strategy and manages ongoing due diligence and implementation for client portfolios. This process includes setting asset allocations as well as assessing the risk tolerance and targeted investment returns for each client.

Kent joined Daintree Advisors at its inception in early 2010. Previously, Kent was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at The Boston Company and Director of Research for Mellon Growth Advisors LLC. Prior to that, Kent worked as a Senior Equity Analyst at State Street Global Advisors. Kent began his post-business school investment management career at Alex. Brown where he was an Associate Analyst covering the insurance industry.

Kent received his M.B.A. from the Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and his B.A. from Wheaton College (IL).

Kent and his wife Lisa live in Hingham and have three children, a daughter in college and two teenage boys. When Kent isn’t following the complexities of the investment world, he can usually be found following a golf ball or a striped bass. Kent provides counsel to several non-profit interests, serving as a Trustee/Treasurer of Boston Trinity Academy, as Chairman of the Board of Visitors of Wheaton College (IL), and in various leadership roles at South Shore Baptist Church.
